Come and find out as we take you on a journey through the instruments in Benjamin Britten's The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, then hold onto your hats as the orchestra sets off in Rossini’s thrilling William Tell Overture. In the second half of the concert, illustrator and author of children’s books James Mayhew (Ella Bella Ballerina, Once Upon A Tune, the 'Katie' series), conductor Robert Dick and DSO combine for a special performance of Mussorgsky’s Pictures From An Exhibition. Listen to Ravel’s magical orchestration and watch as James paints the pictures live on stage. You won’t want to miss this!
