Against All Odds
Anuja Dhir was born in Dundee and attended Harris Academy before coming to the University of Dundee to study English and Scottish Law. She graduated in 1988 and moved to London with a Gray's Inn Scholarship to sit her Bar finals shortly afterwards. She practised at the bar for 23 years, prosecuting and defending in serious criminal cases and appeared in cases involving national security and human rights. She was made QC in 2010 and appointed as the youngest and first non-white judge to the Old Bailey in February 2017. She'll discuss her career, how it all started in Dundee and the challenges she has faced along the way.
