Darach is a Galician-Scottish duo formed by Roo Geddes (violin) and Hugo Franco (guitar), blending the musical traditions of Galicia and Scotland with a contemporary, intimate, and deeply emotional sound. Their music, rooted in folk, jazz, and classical traditions, creates a dialogue between ancestral melodies and original compositions—rich in nuance and feeling.

Roo Geddes, an internationally acclaimed Scottish violinist, combines classical training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a strong background in jazz and traditional music. He is a finalist of the BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year and a recipient of the Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections. Hugo Franco, a guitarist and producer from Vigo, stands out for his versatility as a multi-instrumentalist and his ability to fuse tradition, groove, and modernity into a distinctive sound.

Together, they present their debut album in Ortigueira—a sonic journey between two countries and many emotional landscapes.
