Pint of Science is a non-profit organisation that aims to bring the research of a city to its public. Join us to celebrate Dundee's cutting edge research into a range of topics across the spectrum of science, humanities and the arts!

When a video game is adapted into a TV series, how much of the original story should be kept? Where do the muscular, heroic poses of comic book icons truly originate? How does Hollywood balance loyalty to fans with inventive twists in strategic marketing? Where do gaming and DIY comic zines fit into it all?

Join us on Giddy Goose to discover what it all means, and where could we go next?

We'll be joined by the following speakers:

- Liam Brown (PhD Student in Management at the University of Dundee), 'Ready Watcher 1: Video Game Worlds in Television'.

- Matthew Ylitalo ((Early Career Scholar in Modern History at the University of St. Andrews), 'Dundee's Whaling Legacy'

-Hayley Austin (Lecturer at Abertay University), 'Secret Identity: Revealing the Erotic Origins of Super Heroes'.

Lucille Tetley-Brown (Research Assistant at the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science), 'The Courtroom, the Crime Scene, and in-between. Collaboration for Criminal Justice'.
