Pint of Science is a non-profit organisation that aims to bring the research of a city to its public. Join us to celebrate Dundee's cutting edge research into a range of topics across the spectrum of science, humanities and the arts!

Please purchase tickets at the following: https://pintofscience.co.uk/event/evolving-the-future/

Join us to explore how Dundonian scientists are exploring the past and Evolving the Future! We will explore the past with and how it was shaped by religion and evolution. Looking forward, with ‘Shots of Science’ we will look at how we can make vaccines for plants, vertical farming and how urban acupuncture can bring new life to our neglected city spaces!

We'll be joined by the following speakers:

- Dr David Booth (Senior Lecturer in the DArcy Thompson Unit), 'Evolution: When Evidence and Belief Collide'.

- Dr Nick Bennett (Plant Scientist at Intelligent Growth Solutions), 'How can we use vertical farming?'.

- Madison Sacramone (PhD student at the Centre for Water Law, Policy and Science), 'Urban Acupuncture - What is it? Why is it important?'.

- Rebecca Atkinson (PhD Student at the University of Dundee), 'Turning Disease into Delight: Re-Engineering Extracellular Vesicles'.
